In this continuation, Dr. Sergey Yatsunenko and Prof. Sergei Ikovenko further examine the role of TRM in shaping long-term technology development roadmaps. The authors discuss why traditional TRM approaches may prove insufficient in today’s dynamic environment and show how integrating TRM with TRIZ and Design for Patentability (DFP) strengthens strategic planning.
By combining these approaches, organizations can move beyond defining future technology directions toward systematically resolving key contradictions and building tangible, protected competitive advantages.
