This time, the main author and initiator of the article is Dr. Sergey Yatsunenko.
The article introduces the first part of a text originally published last year in the Polish magazine Production Manager, devoted to the role and development of technology roadmaps (TRM) as a method for long-term, deliberate planning of technology development.
Technology roadmapping is not a TRIZ method per se. However, while TRM provides a strategic and decision-making framework, TRIZ can serve as an analytical and creative tool that helps populate the roadmap with meaningful technological content.
The articles published by Production Manager undoubtedly deserve broader exposure within the TRIZ community. For this reason, we invited the authors to prepare a version specifically for our audience.
